About this event
The CDPHE Air Pollution Control Division released the General Permit 12 (GP12) draft for a 30-day public comment period for well production facilities. The division will accept and consider all comments and feedback submitted online through February 4.
The GP12 provides a voluntary mechanism for companies to obtain an air permit to authorize the construction of well production facilities. It is intended to provide an enhanced alternative to the existing general permits. The GP12 applies to equipment, including but not limited to:
- Storage tanks
- Hydrocarbon liquids loadout operations
- Gas venting from separators
- Routine or predictable emissions (ROPE)
- Natural gas-fired internal combustion engines
