Sí, Se Puede Day
About this event
On Sí, Se Puede Day the League of Women Voters honors farm workers. The phrase meaning "Yes, We Can", was coined by Dolores Huerta, the co-founded the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA), which later merged with the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee (AWOC) to become the United Farm Workers (UFW). This is a, day of empowerment, celebrating cultural pride and agricultural workers.
